NRVTU Elections

The time has come to elect our new NRVTU officers.  We typically have a two year rotation and we are at that point again.  Please fill out the form at the end of this post if you are interested in serving as an officer.  Below is a list of the positions and the main activities associated with each position.  There are members around to help show you the ropes for all these positions, so don’t worry if you are new to the chapter or do not have experience.

President: conduct monthly meetings, coordinate with the officers and committee chairs, maintain external communication…and lots more fun stuff if you have the time!
Vice President: conduct meetings in president’s absence, potentially lead special committee or chapter activity (ie-fundraising effort)
Treasurer: maintain all chapter financial records, submit financial activity annually to VCTU, reimburse/pay chapter expenses
Secretary: maintain chapter email distribution list, maintain chapter website/blog
Outreach Director: make coffee before meetings (most important officer), make sure all are welcome to chapter meetings and events
Conservation Director: coordinate chapter conservation projects. Typically working with VDGIF, VDOF and US Dept. of Forestry
Trout in the Classroom Director: work with teachers to ensure all needs for equipment, trout eggs, supplies and trout release are met for first year of program.  Subsequent years of TIC responsibility shifts toward the teacher and off the chapter.

Please fill out the form below if you are interested in serving as an officer.
