We had an excellent work day at Glen Alton on Big Stony Creek! We had about 20 folks join us for the work day and we put up about 1100′ of fence, protecting 120-150 trees. A special thanks to Joe Williams with the VDGIF and Dr. Hession’s REU students for joining us. We followed our work day with streamside cookout, then went fishing! Thanks to Sam and Howard for their work on the grill! Going forward, Joe is planning to go out later this summer with our help to finish up the fencing and we will have an additional work day next spring to plant trees. Thanks again to all those that participated!
